The last few months from December to March were a flurry of activities, with parties, ceremonies and celebration aplenty so this month you can look forward to doing what you initially came here to do; relax and unwind. April marks the start of the dry season so you may want to take advantage of the good weather to do some exploring – although, the rains did come slightly later this year, so expect some sporadic downpours time to time and bring a raincoat with you just in case. But fear not, Bali is still fabulous dry or wet, so don’t let that get in the way of your good time. If you’re looking for activities to do while it rains, check out our websites for recommendations (www.

Speaking of exploring, check out our section on Ubud for tips and recommendations on what you can do and find there. The world-famous artistic and cultural heartland is home to some of the most fascinating Balinese art, never mind the fact that it is surrounded by beautiful lush green jungle and rolling paddy fields. We visit Ubud on the regular, and sunset strolls between paddy fields with bebeks as company are our favourite. If you travel a little bit further away from central Ubud, you’ll find greener pockets, perfect for quiet strolls and relaxation. In this issue we also highlight some yoga retreats and traditional Balinese celebrations that you can observe in several temples around the island under our Don’t Miss section. As usual, we have a selection of reviews to bring you only the best that the island has to offer; villas and resorts that only have one thing in mind – your satisfaction and happiness. Kayumanis, Grand Nikko Bali, Nusa Dua Beach Hotel & Spa and DKPH, Dash Hotel, Amadea Resort & Villas and Bali Island Villas are on the list this month. Mozaic Beachclub in Batu Belig has something different and new for you, so does Il Lido Restaurant & Bar in Kerobokan. Meanwhile, the BIMC CosMedic Centre has the best solution for those who want to look 10 years younger.

What can make the perfect holiday even better? Amazing deals, of course. Check out our Hot Deals page for the newest packages that can save you a bomb and What’s New for everything fresh and exciting. We love great photographs of Bali, its culture and people, so don’t forget to tag us on Instagram for any related photos and updates (@Baliplus).
